In Germany, taxpayers are being charged billions of euros when the sun shines under contracts that commit the Government to paying solar energy producers the difference between a generous fixed tariff and the market rate.

Keir Starmer's much-hyped International Investment Summit claimed to secure £63bn, but nearly two thirds of this is not new and much of the rest is subsidised and will only lead to higher energy bills, says David Turver.

Work to restart on Corrib Pipeline- Dept of Transport

category mayo | environment | other press author Sunday April 25, 2010 13:31author by WMD Report this post to the editors

According to a notice issued by Eamon Ryan's Department of Transport, work is to re start shortly on the Corrib Pipeline. The notice gives a rough outline of plans to survey the estuary, but makes no mention of Shell/Garda security compounds, increased garda and navy presence, dodgy security guards with cameras, and articles in the O'Reily press saying "we need the gas".

Maybe that's a different department...

The infamous Gerry Cowley is making a comeback, but opponents of the Corrib project need not get too excited.
Mr Cowley is now says " it was time to ‘move on’. An Bord Pleanála had decided to move the pipeline away from homes and he had been ‘vindicated’ on the issue of safety, he said."

Yet another turncoat?

This "Corrib Pipeline" operation is all part of the mysterious "great giveaway" of the Republic of Ireland's oil and gas resources, which according to the Article at http://www.indymedia.ie/article/90909 have been valued at 5.4 trillion Euros.

Why are the people of the Republic of Ireland being completely excluded from all decisions relating to this crucially important social matter: which very obviously has major implications for present and future generations?

According to Article 6.1 of Bunreacht na hEireann (The Basic Law of the Republic of Ireland), the people have the right "to decide all questions of national policy, according to the requirements of the common good".

Despite this very clear and core legal fact, the people are not even being consulted, let alone being provided with their legal right "in final appeal" to "decide all questions of national policy".

The full text of Article 6.1 of our written Constitution (Bunreacht na hEireann) reads as follows:

"All powers of government, legislative, executive and judicial, derive, under God, from the people, whose right it is to designate the rulers of the State and, in final appeal, to decide all questions of national policy, according to the requirements of the common good."

Niall is a good man for mending fences and connecting up allies, now he is out of the way, while Pat who holds a lawful licence is a major legal obstruction to the project and he is still locked up and you would never know these things if you didnt look at this website,

No Publicity and tons of Shame.
