As Australia finally withdraws Covid vaccines for children, Ramesh Thakur says the fact that 99% of one country's Covid deaths occurred after 75% were vaccinated should have made it obvious the benefits were illusory.

08/07/2007: International Shell to Sea block and shutdown at G8

category clare | environment | news report author Monday June 11, 2007 21:31author by Oscar Beard Report this post to the editors

On Friday samba bands and protestors shut down the Shell garage in Evershagen, Rostock and a little more.

Link to the video is here.

https://publish.indymedia.org.uk/en/2007/06/373415.html

If you're on a Mac download and install Flip4Mac.

Police, unsurprisingly, arrived in seconds, and the riot squads surrounded the garage.

But, despite this, the Shell station was blocked for an hour.

In Germany fuel stations are not kept in stock by tanker trucks. They run huge fuel pipelines from one to the other, linking them across the city. And in every fuel station is an emergency shut-off button.

And, low and behold, someone hit the button, shutting off the fuel supply to some if not all the Shell garages across Rostock, causing a slight headache for the multinational oil and gas company's profits that day in the lovely north-west German city.

On a sunny very hot friday,we marched to the Shell garage in Rostock. About 60 people from all over the world, including the very funky Samba collective " Rhythms of Resistance".
The police were waiting for us and soon a backup of 8 vans and alot of "Bulle" in heavy adult mutant fascist turtle gear stoood around...sweating..observing,the dancing singing crowd.
The main switch was knocked off and we continued dancing in the hot sun, distributing leaflets explaining Shells terrorism and tyranny towards small communities across the world. We were there in solidarity with the struggle against Shell in Bellanaboy, Rossport, Polluthomias and all other towns in the area.
The samba really made it, everyone enjoyed this action and we agreed we need more samba in Ireland!!!
so the new chant is LIES ,CORRUPTION,GREED, DESTRUCTION , SHELL TO HELL!!!!, SHELL TO HELL!!!
