It was a very good night for the wheelock family as all who attended were happy with the music and refreashments. local people family and friends and community activists attended.
AS you know as reported in the media, Justice minister micheal McDowell, as reneged on his promise to bring independent experts from england to forensicaally examine terence clothes which the state have in there possesion.

The family have no faith in state agencies, as to date they have been let down badly.

The state will not cover costs, as mcdowell initally suggested. his comments came at the inquest in to terence's death by fax 2 hours befor the hearing.

So the family of the late Mr wheelock will probrably if the issue is not resolved, raise the money themselves to the tune of 11 thousand euors. it would be cheaper to post the clothes by courier. but mcdowell wont let the clothes leave the state.
it looks like the tactics of stonewalling by the state are persistent instances. at every opportunity by mcdowell, first by giving a carrot the withdrawning it.
it looks like a long drawn out game of chess by the state bringing enormous preasure on the ordinary working class wheelock family,
in whats is the death in garda custody of terence in extraordinary circumstances,
RENOVATION OF THE CELL the next day! no evidence of suicide except garda word.
unbeleiveably none of the four arresting gaurds involved are aadmmiting to arresting him in the first place. in statements forwarded. the each blame eachother. none taking responseability.

The custody record have to ban gardia as arresting terence.
With names of other Gaurds CRUDELY struck out.
IT was the quick thinking of family silicitor who obtained this record by court order.
The implications of this . is as follows the internal garda investigation spearheaded by the imminent in all his titles detective superintendent garda Oliver Hanley who himself spent 15 years at store st. [so much for independent superintendent ! !]

Is that the areasting officers on the ground who where in sean o'casey ave the day cannot be investigated by there superiors the are beyond the remit of any internal investigation. simply because there names as arresting officers inthe custody record are scratched out and none admit arresting terence. deeming them as not related to the arrest of terence therefor not related to the case. mmmm very convenint for all involved! including OLIVER vwhat a relief.
as to the injuries terence received.

in the care of gaurdians of the peace, sounds almost like thse famous brothers who cared for the youth of yesteryear. There were briueses and marks all over his body not just a ligiture mark on his neck. emergency service did not gain access to the cell . and the family were driven to the wrong hospital. and the police illegally removed his clothes as he lay dying.

Mcdowell has agreed to meet the family. after the inquest.
but he wants all questions in relation to terence's death. by the family forwarded to him beforhand. sounds like a PR excercise.
support the wheelock family and maloney family.
in their campaign for an independent inquirie.
A concerned citizen.
p.s The late terence wheelock was also a irish citizen entitled to all the rightst that come with that citizenship.

the wheelock family are marvelous for what there trying to acheive.
it is abreasth of freash air to working class families rise up against injustice espeacially police injustice, which has been going on for years in this country.
with out a single prosecution against any gaurd. except atoken one{reclaim the streets no convictiions.} b
but the more sinisters one sallins train robbery stitch up 5 men.
kerrie babies scandal to innocent women, bugging of jounalists, buuging of soliciters, shelock chap in finglas, beaten to wth in an inch of his life, follow up search by human rights watch raid finglas garda staion on expectedly on cover shotguns kinves and baseball bats in gardia personal lockers. future stitch ups.
athy bank robberie 1990 4 people shot by gardai one robber killed one parylised for life. one bank porter parylised and a bank clerk hit in the face. no shots fired by robbers, abbeylera john carthy shot dead. mcbrearty in donegal stitched up with murder. respectable buissness man frank short stitched up as a drug dealer.
lusk po robbers one armed one not both shot dead. five unexplained deaths in garda custody in the last 18 months brain rositer 15, john maloney 19, terence wheelock 20, a chap in monaghan no info, and dwane foster 21 . all died with no explanations as to why. also Dean lyons stitched up for the murder of to women in grange gorman.

this is very very high, for such a small country just what is going on. obviously human right s are being abused in a systematic manner on young people in garda stations through out the country.
There is a certain trend that seems to be developing here and something needs to be done, since the TAOISEACH Bertie Ahern T.D for dublin nth central made his comment in the media last year .
"That the onl;y way to deal with the youth coming in out of garda station is to give them a good clip around the ears to sort out anti socail behaviour" since this grandstand there have been five unexplained and suspicious deaths in garda custody. Was Aherns remarks interpreted by certain gardia to be taken literally?.
i dont know somthing, stinks at berties back door.
